I was recently in Malaga, Spain with 3 of the Gravity team riders (Dave Smutok, Eric Porter, Ben Boyko) to shoot some ads and magazine articles. This was our second trip back to Malaga (we were there exactly 3 years ago) because we felt that our first trip ended prematurely. Our good friend and legend in the BMX world Ruben Alcantara, once again shared some of his surreal riding spots and blew our minds with his ability to blast everything with ludicrous amplitude and style.

Malaga isn’t known for experiencing much precipitation but during our trip we were doused with a heavy storm that last made an appearance 35+ years ago. Ditches that haven’t been utilized in decades were ready to host some of the heaviest tubing sessions. Overall we came out on top but missed out on shooting Ruben’s favorite hip jump (one of the top items on my hit list)… maybe it’s a sign to head back for trip el número tres.
