This POV shot of Kelly McGarry following Eric Porter down a ski style descent in Alaska was shot in 2010. I’m happy to see this one still getting play in the editorial world. This time it was featured as a 2 page spread in the January issue of Australian Mountain Bike Magazine.
This interactive CD package was designed for Jive Talk’s latest album ’123 Jump!’. To enhance fans’ experience with the band, we created an online animated experience using Augmented Reality and Quick Response codes.
Fold the CD case to form the stage and scan the AR code to start the band’s “live” animated performance. Watch the animated Jive Talk members perform their title track, “123 Jump!”.
The inner booklet shows each of the four band members. Scan the QR markers, place your Smart Phone over the band members’ mouths and watch the guys sing their music! Try experimenting with the music by scanning the band members at different times to remix the song, or break the song down and listen to each member individually.
There have been many great documentary pieces created to protect and raise awareness of the Great Bear Rainforest (such as this recent award winning film “Spoil” by EP Films). Incase you missed this, three days ago Sitka released a phenomenal edit shown below which has already surpassed 80,000 views! A big congrats to everyone involved for spreading the news on this priceless matter. It’s up to us now to take action.
Big ups to all of you who have spent the past month harvesting a furry friend to raise money for prostate cancer research or have donated funds towards the cause. Geoff Gulevich is ready to break out the clippers…
Dakine recently released a print ad that Geoff Gulevich and I shot during our trip to Hood River in the spring. I’m always fired up on Dakine’s graphic design team! Thanks guys!
I am super stoked to have been selected as one of the top 30 under 30 outdoor personalities in the October 2011 issue of Explore Magazine! Sean Pettit, Peter Devries and the Coastal Crew made the list as well, yeaaa boys!
Back in January, Andi Wittmann hit me up asking if I’d like to be a part of the first ever Nine Knights MTB media event and compete in the photography contest. I was well aware of the past Nine Knights SKI events: massive snow sculpted castles wrapped 360-degrees with endless peaks… skiers sending it large… it was a no brainer to accept the invite. This unique media event gives the world’s best shredders a chance to throw down on beautifully crafted features in a ‘no-pressure’ environment. The 1st edition of Nine Knights MTB took place August 22-27th. The castle was situated up top on the Wildkogel in Neukirchen (Austria) so there was no shortage of stunning scenery to gawk at.
I felt very honored to be one of the 4 invited photographers, joining heavy hitters Mattias Fredriksson, Stef Candé and Markus Breger in a week long photo contest. The wind shut us down on several golden sessions but we all managed to go home with a stack of bangers!
I ended up winning 3 of the 6 categories in the photo contest and couldn’t be happier! Thanks to all the riders for hiking back up to the top again and again!

I can’t post any of the “A” grade shots yet so here are some random snaps from my slr/minicam/iPhone. I’d like to send a MASSIVE thanks out to everybody involved!! An event like this takes a great deal of preparation and hard work and you guys nailed it!
